Brain dump, weekend edition

On Friday night, B* and I went to see "Capote". I LOVED this film. I won't talk about it too much, except to say that it was great, I appreciated that it wasn't a normal bio-pic, I loved the acting, I loved that parts of it were filmed in Manitoba and I like Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Catherine Keener and Chris Cooper.
I also enjoyed the ethical and moral issues shown in the film. It was really a character study and a psychological film, which is probably why I liked it so much.

The sun has finally come out here, which is marvelous. B* and I went for a walk around Trout Lake and watched dogs and kids and ducks and other people who were out taking full advantage of the sun. On the way back, I showed B* one of my favourite yards in the neighbourhood. These people have a sock monkey in their window, a buddha in their front yard and an old toilet tank filled with flowers on their doorstep. I like looking at the yard because it's so creative and it looks like the people who live there would be fun. When we were looking at the house, the sock monkey started waving at us! Then a woman about my age (?) popped her head out from behind the monkey and waved. I was right about someone cool living there.

I am so incredibly bitchy today that I am bitching just for fun. So far I have bitched about:
1. annoying customers
2. Baby Einstein
3. inconsiderate people
4. lazy people
5. Baby sign language
6. Mastercard payments
7. bananas
8. My landlord's handy man
There's probably more, but I can't think of it right now. I wanted to watch something that compelled me to yell at the television, but instead I just started watching "All the President's men".

I just left a message on Tommy Chong's voice mail.
