I seem to be quite busy lately, but I'm not sure why. The past two weekends, I've done a lot more cooking, which is nice. Prior to going away, I wasn't cooking as much, so it's been really nice to try some new recipes on the weekends.
Yesterday I had to go out to the Grande Prairie home show. Every time there is a trade show in the area, I generally head out there to get some potential ideas for stories. It's always good just to walk around, look at the booths and pick out some business cards.
Since I didn't want to go to the home show alone, I went with my co-worker, who was supposed to interview, Jason Cass Jason Cass, the host of tv's "Whose design is it anyway?"
I'd never watched Cass before, but I sat in on the interview, and ended up really clicking with Cass. He was quite fun to talk to and we chatted about books. Even though he's a married gay boy, he won my heart when he said, "A home is not a home without books." We talked about his latest reads, Asian design trends, Toronto and Montreal and his concepts of design (simple, simple, simple) and (comfort, comfort, comfort). At the end of the interview, my coworker asked me if I wanted a byline on his story.

This morning, I watched "The Host", which I absolutely loved and highly recommend. I've been writing and getting a lot of stuff done and exercising more. Life is okay.
