Randomness is goodness
Jun. 23rd, 2003 01:16 pmBad-I am very annoyed that I am unable to get into Ingrid's apartment. I cannot open the new door. I need to be able to get in so that I can check some statistics. Plus, I would like to do some laundry.
Good- The Western Canadian glitterati are talking about a trip in August. I really hope that I will be able to go.
Good- There is a restaurant in Ulaan Baatar that features "Caucasian barbecue." I need to go there and convince Jen to order this so I can see what it is.
Good- Tried vegetarian lasagne at a German cafe today. Talked with Brigitte, who owns it. Remembered a story about the kidnapping of her dog. Brigitte has a Dalmatian named Dollie, who goes everywhere with her. Apparently Dollie was kidnapped in Hong Kong, but Brigitte got her back. I need to find out the story behind this.
Good- I have a language lesson tonight. This will inspire me to clean my house. Oyuna laughs at me because I put a French accent on all my "r"s. Basically whenever I learn a new language, I pronounce certain words like they are French. Perhaps this is because French is the second language I ever learned. I was in French immersion from kindergarten until Grade 12. This has been a blessing and has only resulted in two negative effects.
1. I have problems with capitalization.
2. I only began taking math in English in Grade 10. I didn't know any of the math terms in English, and had to turn around and ask my classmates what some of the words meant. This has contributed to my math phobia.
