Hop on the Poetry Train, Winnipeg to Prince George, March 14-19, in conjunction with UNBC's "Just West of Unruly" Festival for Readers and Writers. A Via Rail passenger train will leave Winnipeg March 14 and pick up new, aspiring Canadian poets along the way who would receive instructional workshops on board the train in a lounge or restaurant car. Six well-published poets will also do readings of their works both on board the train and at locations where the train has scheduled stops en route (Winnipeg, Dunster, McBride, and Prince George). Anyone who would be interested in participating in a workshop can purchase a ticket from Via Rail and ride the train in the company of the poets for the entire trip or a portion thereof. People can entrain and detrain at the locations of their choice. They will continue onto Prince George to participate in the annual Just West of Unruly reading series with a reading at the Railway and Forestry Museum March 17th. Participants are George Elliot Clarke, bill bissett, Kate Braid, Deborah Stiles, Jon Paul Fiorentino and Chandra Mayor.

But I LOVED Mystic River.
( here's why, no spoilers )
I'll be rooting for this one on Oscar night.
